The benchmark 10-year Treasury note hits 4.357%, its highest level since November 2007.

Mortgage rates soared Monday to hit their highest mark in nearly 23 years. The average rate on the popular 30-year fixed mortgage reached 7.48%, a level last seen in November 2000. This time last year, the average for a 30-year fixed was about 5.5%.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down 1.1 cents at $3.854 per gallon.
