The previous week’s level was revised down by 285,000 from 22,833,000 to 22,548,000. The 4-week moving average was 22,002,250, an increase of 2,313,500 from the previous week’s revised average. The previous week’s average was revised down by 71,250 from 19,760,000 to 19,688,750.
Boeing (BA) was rated “outperform†in new coverage at RBC Capital Markets. The firm notes the risks associated with the airline industry in general and uncertainty surrounding the return of Boeing’s grounded 737 Max jet, but said the stock has a favorable risk/reward profile and that the company’s defense business is undervalued.
European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended lower.
The national average price of gasoline is up 1.8 cents at $1.926 per gallon.
