West Texas Intermediate futures, the US benchmark, were last trading above $32 per barrel, having gained more than 70% this month. Brent crude futures, the global benchmark, were last trading at $35 per barrel, a 39% monthly rise.

Minutes from the Fed’s April 28-29 meeting will be released at 11 am PDT.

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) said late Tuesday it will stop selling talc-based baby powder in North America following a flurry of lawsuits alleging the product causes cancer.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 1.9 cents at $1.908 per gallon.
