The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Travelers (TRV) 172.12 (-1.56%), Goldman Sachs (GS) 354.70 (-1.18%) and Merck MRK) 107.53 (-1.15%).

The VIX closed Tuesday at 13.86 (-0.36%) and the 10 YR at 3.899 (-0.33%). The VIX is currently at 14.16 (+2.16%). The 10YR is at 3.863 (-1.25%).

The Dow clinched its 12th-straight winning session Tuesday, a streak not seen for the blue-chip average since February 2017.

The Federal Reserve will announce its latest rate decision today at 11 am PDT.

Coca-Cola (KO) earnings topped expectations Wednesday morning as earnings and revenue were higher than projected. The company also raised its outlook. Shares are up about 1% premarket.

Boeing (BA) shares gained more than 3% after reporting a second-quarter beat following a rise in commercial aircraft deliveries.

Microsoft (MSFT) lost about 4% after reporting slowing revenue growth within its cloud business during its fiscal fourth quarter and called for lower-than-expected guidance. Microsoft, however, did beat Wall Street’s estimates, reporting earnings of $2.69 per share on $56.19 billion in revenue. Analysts had anticipated earnings per share of $2.55 on revenue of $55.47 billion.

U.S. futures are lower, European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 5.1 cents at $3.687 per gallon.
