The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by Caterpillar (CAT) 225.73 (-3.80%), Goldman Sachs (GS) 373.94 (-2.31%) and JPMorgan (JPM) 160.40 (-1.56%).
The Dow is set to rise Friday and is less than 1% from last month’s record close.
The 10-year Treasury yield ticked lower Friday, trading just above 1.4%, around its early March lows before it spiked above 1.7% to 14-month highs later that month.
President Biden and G-7 leaders will publicly endorse a global minimum corporate tax of at least 15% on Friday, one piece of a broader agreement to update international tax laws for a globalized, digital economy.
US futures are higher, European stocks are mixed and Asian markets ended higher.
The national average price of gasoline is up four-tenths of a cent at $3.077 per gallon.
