Merck (MRK) said late Tuesday that its drug Keytruda didnâ€™t reach its goals in a late-stage clinical study for the treatment of bladder cancer.
European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.
The national average price of gasoline is up 1.9 cents at $2.071 per gallon.
