The Dow Market Happenings For Wednesday, June 10, 2020

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -120 points.

Tuesday the Dow was down -300.14 (-1.09%) at 27,272.30.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were Apple (AAPL) +3.16%, Microsoft (MSFT) +0.76% and Walmart (WMT) +0.09%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Boeing (BA) -5.97%, Raytheon (RTX) -4.88%, Walgreens (WBA) -3.70%, Dow (DOW) -3.25% and IBM (IBM) -2.86%.

The two day FOMC meeting ends today with announcement at 11:00 am PDT. The Fed’s balance sheet has ballooned from about $4 trillion in March to $7.21 trillion as of last week with its policy interest rate steady at a range of 0% and 0.25%.

Merck (MRK) said late Tuesday that its drug Keytruda didn’t reach its goals in a late-stage clinical study for the treatment of bladder cancer.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up 1.9 cents at $2.071 per gallon.
