DJIA Market Happenings For Tuesday, June 9, 2020

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Apple (AAPL), Home Depot (HD) and UnitedHealth (UNH). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -280 points.

Monday the Dow was up +461.46 (+1.70%) at 27,572.44.

There were 24 Dow stocks up Monday.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Boeing (BA) +12.20%, Dow (DOW) +4.39% and Walgreens (WBA) +3.68%.

The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Intel (INTC) -1.04%, UnitedHealth (UNH) -0.76% and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) -0.36%.

The two day FOMC meeting begins today.

IBM (IBM) is canceling some of its facial recognition programs and calling for a nationwide discussion on the use of the technology in law enforcement as Silicon Valley grapples with how to square its public commitment to racial justice with its own practices and products.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up 2.2 cents at $2.052 per gallon.
