The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +103 points.

Monday the Dow was up +91.91 (+0.36%) at 25,475.02.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -10.73%.

There were 17 Dow stocks up Monday.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Boeing (BA) +3.80%, Travelers (TRV) +2.03% and Exxon Mobil XOM) +1.78%.

The Dow stock losers Monday were Pfizer (PFE) -7.15%, Cisco (CSCO) -3.18% and Verizon (VZ) -2.79%.

Apple (AAPL) is cutting iPhone prices in China, as it seeks to extend the momentum it has enjoyed as the Chinese economy gradually reopens following virus-related lockdowns and closures.

Visa (V) said U.S. payment volumes fell by 5% in May, slower than the 18% decline registered in April and a possible indication that consumer spending is recovering as coronavirus-related lockdowns are eased.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is unchanged at $1.978 per gallon.
