The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Goldman Sachs (GS) -1.36% and Visa (V) -1.24%.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up two-tenths of a cent at $2.423 per gallon.
