The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +7 points.

Friday the Dow was down -8.83 (-0.04%) at 19,843.41.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +13.88%.

There were 15 Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were led by UnitedHealth (UNH) +2.07% and General Electric (GE) +1.57%.

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Caterpillar (CAT) -2.06% and Goldman Sachs (GS) -1.69%.

Apple (AAPL) launched a legal challenge to a record $14 billion EU tax demand, arguing that EU regulators ignored tax experts and corporate law and deliberately picked a method to maximize the penalty.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up two-tenths of a cent at $2.242 per gallon.
