DJIA Market Happenings For Friday, December 16, 2016

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include American Express (AXP), Goldman Sachs(GS) and JPMorgan (JPM).There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +29 points.

Thursday the Dow was up +59.71 (+0.30%) at 19,852.24.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +13.93%.

There were 19 Dow stocks up Thursday.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Dupont (DD) +1.60% and JPMorgan (JPM) +1.50%.

The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by United Technologies (UTX) -1.04% and Nike (NKE) -0.97%.

Merck (MRK +0.92%) gained over 1% in after-hours trading after it won a $2.54 billion patent judgement against Gilead in Hepatitis C royalties.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up three-tenths of a cent at $2.229 per gallon.
