DJIA Happenings For Friday, February 13, 2015

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +42 points.

Thursday, the Dow was up +110.24 (+0.62%) at 17,972.38.

Year-to-date the Dow is up 0.84%.

There were 24 Dow stocks up Thursday.

Dow stock winners Thursday included Cisco Systems (CSCO) +9.39% and JPMorgan (JPM) +2.06%.

Dow stock losers Thursday were led by American Express (AXP) -6.43% and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) -1.93%.

Visa Inc. (V) today announced that it is expanding the use of new security technology that replaces the traditional 16-digit Visa account number with a unique series of numbers, helping to prevent exposure of sensitive consumer account information in online and mobile payments.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up eight-tenths of a cent at $2.239 per gallon.
