The Dow Market Happenings For Monday, May 10, 2021

Dow stocks hitting 52 week highs include American Express (AXP), Caterpillar (CAT), Cisco (CCO), Dow (DOW), Goldman Sachs (GS), Home Depot (HD), 3M (MMM) and UnitedHealth (UNH). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +115 points.

Friday the Dow was up +229.23 (+0.66%) at 34,777.76.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +13.63%.

There were 23 Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were led by Nike (NKE) 137.81 (+3.24%), Boeing (BA) 235.47 (+2.46%) and Cisco (CSCO) 53.43 (+1.89%).

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Verizon (VZ) 58.72 (-0.96%), IBM (IBM) 145.46 (-0.90%) and Salesforce (CRM) 216.50 (-0.71%).

Last week, the Dow rallied 2.7% and looks strong this morning.

Gasoline and oil prices rose Monday, as much of one of the largest pipelines in the U.S. remained closed three days after a ransomware attack.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up five-tenths of a cent at $2.967 per gallon.
