The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +40 points.

Monday the Dow was up +89.37 (+0.35% at 25,758.69.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +4.21%.

There were 17 Dow stocks up Monday.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Nike (NKE) +3.05% and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) +1.79%.

The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Walmart (WMT) -1.89% and Intel (INTC) -1.27%.

Apple (AAPL -0.97%) gained nearly 1% in premarket trading after Bank of America/Merrill Lynch reiterated its ‘Buy’ rating on the stock and raised their price target on Apple to $250 from $230.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down seven-tenths of a cent at $2.831 per gallon.
