The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Wal-Mart (WMT) -0.42% and Travelers (TRV) -0.11%.

Boeing (BA +3.65%) gained over 1% in premarket trading after it said it secured a $1.3 billion order for planes from China’s Okay Airways.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 1.2 at $1.710 per gallon
