DJIA Market Happenings For Friday, August 14, 2015

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -25 points.

Thursday, the Dow was up +5.74 (+0.03%) at 17,408.25.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -2.33%.

There were 10 Dow stocks up Thursday.

Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Cisco (CSCO) +2.87% and Boeing (BA) +1.67%.

The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by Intel (INTC) -2.00% and Caterpillar (CAT) -1.47%.

DuPont (DD -0.47%) was upgraded to ‘Overweight’ from ‘Neutral’ at JPMorgan Chase.

Reuters reports that 8 banks that include Goldman Sachs (GS -0.19%), Barclays (BCS +0.17%) , Bank of America (BAC +0.57%) , BNP Paribas (BNPQY -0.59%) , Citigroup (C +0.74%) , HSBC (HSBC -0.02%) , Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS -1.41%) , and UBS (UBS +0.09%) agreed to pay $2 billion to settle a currency rigging suit.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mixed.

The national average price of gasoline is up 3.5 cents at $2.653 per gallon.
