Thursday, the Dow closed down -106.38 (-0.61%) at 17,320.71.

Dow stock losers Thursday were led by JPMorgan (JPM) -3.20% (again) and Cisco (CSCO) -1.83%. JPM was down -3.45% yesterday.

United Technologies (UTX) was unchanged Thursday.

Intel (INTC) reported Q4 EPS of 74 cents, better than consensus of 66 cents, but then said Q1 revenue would be $13.7 billion, plus or minus $500 million, which is less than consensus of $13.77 billion.

Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS) reported Q4 earnings of $4.38 per share, beating consensus of $4.29 per share.

Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. GS is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $4.32 per share on revenue of $7.64 billion.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mixed.

The national average price of gasoline is down three-tenths of a cent at $2.082 per gallon. Gas was $2.00 per gallon yesterday at the local Gig Harbor Costco.
