The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +42 points.

Monday, the Dow closed up +181.55 (+1.13%) at 16,247.22

Year-to-date the Dow is down -1.99%.

Cisco (CSCO) was downgraded to ‘Equal Weight’ from ‘Overweight’ at Barclays.

Walmart (WMT) said, starting Wednesday, March 26, that customers will be able to trade in their video games and apply the value immediately towards the purchase of anything sold at Walmart and Sam’s Club.

Russian President Vladimir Putin seems to have brushed off the US and Europe’s first round of economic sanctions as he signed a decree recognizing the small peninsula as an independent state on Monday.

The Fed kicks off it’s two day meeting today and is expected to continue winding down the stimulus program.

Thursday, Nike (NKE) will report earnings.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian stocks ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline over the weekend is up three-tenths of a cent to $3.524 per gallon.

JA Solar Holdings, Co. Ltd (JASO) reported EPS of $0.16 on revenue of $357.30 million, compared to last year’s loss of $2.65 per share on revenue of $268.09 million.

Sterling Construction Company, Inc (STRL) reported a fourth quarter loss of $1.83 per share on revenue of $125.90 million, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.18 on revenue of $158.09 million.

Adobe Systems Incorporated (ADBE) is expected to report fourth quarter EPS of $0.25 on revenue of $973.09 million, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.35 on revenue of $1.01 billion.

DSW Inc. (DSW) is expected to report fourth quarter EPS of $0.29 on revenue of $590.23 million, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.35 on revenue of $594.25 million.

Oracle Corporation (ORCL) is expected to report third quarter EPS of $0.70 on revenue of $9.36 billion, compared to last year’s EPS of $0.65 on revenue of $8.97 billion.
