This morning the Dow was indicated to open up +80 points.
Year-to-date the Dow is up +14.38%.
The Non-Farm Payroll report showed U.S. employers added a robust 195,000 jobs in June and many more in April and May than previously thought. Expectations were for adding 161,000 jobs.
The unemployment rate remained at 7.6 percent. That was because more people started looking for work in June . Once people without jobs start looking for one, the government counts them as unemployed.
Pay also rose sharply in June and has now outpaced inflation over the past year.
European markets are mixed and Asian markets ended mostly higher.
The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent to $3.476 per gallon.
