Today the market suffered its worst single-session drop in two months as market participants shrugged off a big batch of better-than-expected earnings as the dollar surged.
After the close today, notable names reporting earnings include BSX, CREE, GILD, ISRG, JNPR, SLM, SYK, WDC and YHOO.
Futures are notably lower after hours with S&P 500 futures up +1.23 from fair value of 1162.07 and Nasdaq100 futures down -0.09 points from fair value of 2066.84.
All ten sectors were in negative territory, led by energy (-2.4%), materials (-2.3%) and health care (-1.8%).
