The VIX closed Friday at 18.77 (+12.19%) and the 10 YR at 4.541 (-0.42%). The VIX is currently at 18.12 (-3.46%). The 10YR is at 4.565 (+0.40%).

Stock futures rose Monday as oil prices fluctuated in response to the latest bout of military exchanges between the U.S. and Iran. Chipmakers also traded higher to give U.S. equity markets a boost.

U.S. crude futures were last little changed at above $82 per barrel, reversing an earlier gain. International benchmark Brent also eased from levels seen overnight, trading up marginally at above $88.

U.S. futures are mostly higher, European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up five-tenths of a cent at $4.0030 per gallon.
