The VIX closed Monday at 17.65 (-4.13%) and the 10 YR at 4.370 (-0.05%). The VIX is currently at 17.63 (-0.11%). The 10YR is at 4.3893 (+0.48%).

The Dow Jones Industrial Average posted its first-ever close above 52,000. It had help from Google parent Alphabet (GOOG), which rallied nearly 5% on its first day in the blue-chip index. And Verizon (VZ) is gone from the index.

U.S. futures are mostly lower, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down -0.0130 at $3.8470 per gallon.
