The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Verizon (VZ) 50.97 (-0.80%), 3M (MMM) 149.95 (-0.67%) and Disney (DIS) 98.66 (-0.63%).

The VIX closed Monday at 23.51 (-13.53%) and the 10 YR at 4.229 (-1.35%). The VIX is currently at 22.34 (-4.98%). The 10YR is at 4.209 (-0.38%).

Investors are watching for further developments on the war, especially after Iran’s security chief, Ali Larijani, was killed in airstrikes overnight. That’s according to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz.

Nvidia (NVDA) traded slightly higher after CEO Jensen Huang said he expects orders for its Blackwell and Vera Rubin chips to reach $1 trillion through 2027.

Oil prices jumped over 2% on Tuesday as uncertainty lingered over a U.S.-led coalition for securing the Strait of Hormuz for safe transit of energy tankers. International benchmark Brent crude gained 2.45% to $102.57 per barrel, while the U.S. West Texas Intermediate rose 2.51% to $95.85 per barrel as of 8:44 p.m. ET.

Nvidia (NVDA) just unveiled its new computing platform for orbital data centers, marking a significant step towards building AI space infrastructure. “Space computing, the final frontier, has arrived,” CEO Jensen Huang said Monday during the company’s annual GTC 2026 conference. “As we deploy satellite constellations and explore deeper into space, intelligence must live wherever data is generated.” The company said in a press release that its Vera Rubin Space-1 Module, which includes the IGX Thor and Jetson Orin, will be used on space missions led by multiple companies. The chips are specifically “engineered for size-, weight- and power-constrained environments.” Huang said Nvidia is working with partners on a new computer for orbital data centers, but there are still engineering hurdles to overcome. Partners include Axiom Space, Starcloud and Planet.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up 7.2 cents at $3.790 per gallon.
