Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to be up +119 points.

Tuesday the Dow closed down -403.51 (-0.83%) at 48,501.27.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +0.91%.

Tuesday, (11) Dow stocks were up, none made 52-week lows, and (2) made 52-week highs.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by IBM (IBM) 245.28 (+2.47%), Verizon (VZ) 50.87 (+1.78%) and Salesforce (CRM) 196.05 (+1.61%).

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Caterpillar (CAT) 722.18 (-4.01%), Nike (NKE) 59.39 (-2.66%) and Boeing (BA) 224.12 (-2.45%).

The VIX closed Tuesday at 23.57 (+9.93%) and the 10 YR at 4.065 (+0.40%). The VIX is currently at 22.24 (-5.64%). The 10YR is at 4.080 (+0.47%).

Bitcoin rose above $70,000 on Wednesday, marking its first time above the critical level in more than two weeks.

Private sector hiring was a bit better than expected in February, though most of the job creation came from just two sectors, ADP reported Wednesday. Companies added a seasonally adjusted 63,000 workers during the month, an improvement from the downwardly revised 11,000 in January and better than the consensus estimate for 48,000, according to the payrolls processing firm’s latest update.

Trump’s recently announced 15% global tariff will be implemented sometime this week. I’m sure you all are jumping for joy to pay for this.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 8.9 cents at $3.109 per gallon. That totals 20.1 cents in the last two days.
