The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Disney DIS) 104.45 (-7.40%), Nvidia (NVDA) 185.61 (-2.89%) and Chevron (CVX) 174.03 (-1.62%).

The VIX closed Monday at 16.34 (-6.31%) and the 10 YR at 4.284 (+0.89%). The VIX is currently at 16.19 (-0.92%). The 10YR is at 4.297 (+0.51%).

Merck (MRK) fell around 1% after issuing a modest 2026 outlook, as the company gets set to lose some drug patent protections and face competition from generic versions. The company expects revenue to range between $65.5 billion and $67 billion for the year. Analysts expected revenue around $67.6 billion.

Gold and silver funds rallied in early trading on Tuesday as the precious metals rebounded. The SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) jumped more than 5%. The fund has dropped more than 10% over the last week. The iShares Silver Trust (SLV) rallied more than 9%. But the fund has tumbled more than 28% in the last five trading session, a timespan that included its worst day on record.

U.S. futures are mostly higher, European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up eight-tenths of a cent at $2.883 per gallon.
