The Dow stock winners Friday were led by Verizon (VA) 44.52 (+11.83%), Chevron (CVX) 176.90 (+3.34%) and Coca Cola (KO) 74.81 (+1.88%).

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Visa (V) 321.83 (-3.00%), 3M (MMM) 153.16 (-2.06%) and UnitedHealth (UNH) 286.93 (-1.83%).

The VIX closed Friday at 17.44 (+3.32%) and the 10 YR at 4.245 (+0.40%). The VIX is currently at 18.78 (+7.68%). The 10YR is at 4.238 (-0.19%).

Bitcoin dropped below $80,000 for the first time since April, a sign investors were taking more risk off the table following Friday’s sharp declines in gold and silver. Silver, which has more than doubled over the past 12 months, plunged around 30% on Friday. That marked the metal’s worst one-day performance since 1980. Gold also dropped around 9%. The cryptocurrency, as well as the two metals, later came off their respective lows Monday, which helped trim losses in equity futures and ease risk-off sentiment. Bitcoin last traded above $77,000, while spot gold and spot silver were down more than 1% each. However, gold futures and silver futures were higher.

Disney (DIS) was up more than 3% after reporting fiscal first-quarter results that beat expectations. The company earned an adjusted $1.63 per share on revenue of $25.98 billion. Analysts expected a profit of $1.57 per share on revenue of $25.74 billion. Strength in parks and streaming drove the results.

U.S. futures are lower, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up five-tenths of a cent at $2.875 per gallon.
