The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Salesforce (CRM) 241.06 (-7.07%), Visa (V) 327.88 (-4.46%) and JPMorgan (JPM) 310.90 (-4.19%).

The VIX closed Tuesday at 15.98 (+5.69%) and the 10 YR at 4.180 (-0.21%). The VIX is currently at 17.21 (+7.70%). The 10YR is at 4.167 (-0.19%).

Wholesale prices moved up less than expected while consumers kept up a heavy buying pace in November, according to economic data released Wednesday. The producer price index, a measure of final demand prices that producers get in the marketplace, rose just 0.2% for the month, according to seasonally adjusted figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That was below the Dow Jones consensus for a 0.3% gain though one-tenth of a percentage point higher than October. Excluding food and energy, core PPI was flat on the month against expectations for a 0.2% gain.

U.S. futures are lower, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up 2.0 cents at $2.840 per gallon.
