The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Disney (DIS) 104.83 (-1.82%), Coca Cola (KO) 70.67 (-1.78%) and Chevron (CVX) 150.25 (-1.50%).

The VIX closed Tuesday at 16.59 (-3.77%) and the 10 YR at 4.086 (+1.67%). The VIX is currently at 17.25 (+3.98%). The 10YR is at 4.055 (-0.64%).

The U.S. labor market slowdown intensified in November as private companies cut 32,000 workers, with small businesses hit the hardest, payrolls processing firm ADP reported Wednesday. Larger businesses, entailing companies with 50 or more employees, actually reported a net gain of 90,000 workers. However, establishments with fewer than 50 saw a decline of 120,000. The ADP report is the last monthly jobs picture the Federal Reserve gets before it meets Dec. 9-10.

Microsoft (MSFT) shares turned lower after The Information reported it was cutting software sales quotas tied to artificial intelligence. The stock was last down 2% in premarket trading. Nvidia (NVDA) was down in sympathy with Microsoft.

Salesforce (CRM) reports earnings today after the close.

U.S. futures are mostly lower, European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up one-tenth of a cent at $2.999 per gallon.
