The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Merck (MRK) 101.83 (-2.86%), Amgen (AMGN) 337.49 (-2.31%) and McDonald’s (MCD)303.57 (-2.06%).

The VIX closed Monday at 17.24 (+5.44%) and the 10 YR at 4.086 (+1.67%). The VIX is currently at 16.67 (-3.31%). The 10YR is at 4.103 (+0.24%).

Costco is taking the White House to court over Trump’s tariffs. The wholesaler filed a lawsuit last week asking for a full refund of the new tariffs it has paid this year. The suit also seeks to block those levies from being collected as the Supreme Court weighs the tariffs’ legality. Dozens of other companies have filed similar lawsuits in hopes of securing refunds if the Supreme Court rules against Trump’s tariffs. Even if the court finds the duties are illegal, Costco warned in its suit that it may not be able to get paid back later, pointing to a Dec. 15 deadline that could prevent refunds of any duties it’s already paid.

Nvidia (NVDA) looks to be up +1.35% this morning.

Things are pretty quiet with Dow components.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down three-tenths of a cent at $2.998 per gallon.
