The Dow stock losers Monday were led by American Express (AXP) 341.25 (-4.46%), IBM (IBM) 297.17 (-2.79%) and Salesforce (CRM) 237.03 (-2.72%).

The VIX closed Monday at 22.41 (+13.01%) and the 10 YR at 4.134 (-0.29%). The VIX is currently at 23.79 (+6.30%). The 10YR is at 4.097 (-0.90%).

Nvidia fell about 1% in the premarket, while Amazon and Microsoft also came under pressure.

Bitcoin dropped below $90,000 on Tuesday, continuing its slide from a record $126,000 reached in early October.

Adding to the angst this month is growing concern that the Federal Reserve won’t cut rates for a third time in December. Fed funds futures traders are pricing in less than a 50% chance of a cut, significantly lower than the more than 90% chance priced in a month ago.

Home Depot (HD) pulled back 1.2% after the company reported third-quarter earnings that missed analyst expectations. The home improvement giant earned $3.74 per share, adjusted, while analysts had forecast a profit of $3.84 per share. Home Depot also cut its full-year earnings outlook.

U.S. futures are lower, European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up four-tenths of a cent at $3.077 per gallon.
