Nvidia (NVDA) shares rose more than 1% after Foxconn, one of its suppliers, reported a 17% year-over-year increase in earnings.

Consumer stocks such as Walmart (WMT), Home Depot (HD) and McDonald’s (MCD) propped up the 30-stock Dow on Tuesday as traders moved into parts of the market with lower valuations. The health care sector was the top-performing sector, driven by moves higher in names like Johnson & Johnson (JNJ).

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up three-tenths of a cent at $3.075 per gallon.
