The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Amazon (AMZN) 216.37 (-4.99%), Nvidia (NVDA) 183.16 (-4.89%), Nike (NKE) 65.22 (-3.61%), IBM (IBM) 277.82 (-3.61%), UnitedHealth (UNH) 354.50 (-3.59%) and Apple (AAPL) 245.27 (-3.45%).

The VIX closed Friday at 21.66 (+31.83%) and the 10 YR at 4.037 (-2.68%). The VIX is currently at 20.18 (-6.83%). The 10YR is at 4.071 (+0.44%).

Investors got their latest example of the “TACO” trade. I’m sure Trump profited greatly from the latest market downturn.

JPMorgan (JPM) shares ticked 1% higher before the bell on Monday after the bank announced a decade-long plan for financing and taking stakes in companies deemed critical to national security. The bank said it would invest as much as $10 billion into firms that focus on themes like defense and aerospace or energy technology. It’s part of a bigger effort JPMorgan is calling the Security and Resiliency Initiative.

Goldman Sachs (GS) and JPMorgan (JPM) both report earnings this week.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $3.082 per gallon.
