The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by Salesforce (CRM) 263.97 (-2.57%), Walmart (WMT) 94.86 (-2.01%) and UnitedHealth (UNH) 299.51 (-1.12%).

The VIX closed Thursday at 15.78 (-1.00%) and the 10 YR at 4.345 (+0.12%). The VIX is currently at 16.84 (+6.72%). The 10YR is at 4.389 (+1.15%).

Stock futures dropped Friday after Trump announced a 35% tariff on Canada and threatened higher tariffs across the board. Trump also said he was planning blanket tariffs of 15% to 20% on remaining countries, higher than the current 10% standard that investors had grown comfortable with.

Bitcoin extended its rally on Friday, topping $118,000 for the first time ever. This came one day after bitcoin exchange-traded funds logged their biggest day of inflows of 2025, at $1.18 billion. Week to date, bitcoin is on pace to gain nearly 10%.

U.S. futures are lower, European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down five-tenths of a cent at $3.167 per gallon.
