WTI crude oil futures fell more than 1% to $72.20 a barrel after trading above $77 earlier in the overnight session.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up five-tenths of a cent at $3.140 per gallon.
