The Dow stock winners Wednesday were led by Boeing (BA) 172.37 (+6.06%), Amazon (AMZN) 180.60 (+4.28%) and Nvidia (NVDA) 102.71 (+3.86%).

The Dow stock losers Wednesday were led by Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) 155.38 (-1.50%), Procter & Gamble (PG) 165.73 (-1.26%) and Verizon (VZ) 42.70 (-1.13%).

The VIX closed Wednesday at 28.45 (-6.93%) and the 10 YR at 4.357 (-0.57%). The VIX is currently at 27.79 (-2.32%). The 10YR is at 4.321 (-1.39%).

Procter & Gamble (PG) slipped nearly 2% on Thursday morning after the company posted fiscal third-quarter revenue of $19.78 billion. This was lower than the $20.11 billion analysts had expected. However, the company posted slight earnings beat. Procter & Gamble accompanied the results by also slashing its full-year core earnings per share and revenue forecast.

IBM (IBM) shares were down more than 6% after a warning from the legacy tech company overshadowed a stronger-than-expected first-quarter report. CEO Arvind Krishna said that, “in the near term, uncertainty may cause clients to pause and take a wait-and-see approach.”

On Thursday, China said that there were no ongoing talks with the U.S. on tariffs.

U.S. futures are mostly lower, European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is unchanged at $3.171 per gallon.
