The VIX closed Monday at 46.98 (+3.69%) and the 10 YR at 4.189 (+5.04%). The VIX is currently at 39.34 (-16.26%), and morning high was 44.26. The 10YR is at 4.242 (+2.36%).

The Dow Jones Industrial Average posted its largest intraday swing ever recorded Monday, gaining 2,595 points from low to high during a wild session. Monday’s volume surpassed Friday’s volume of 26.77 billion shares, as well as the 10-day average volume of 16.94 billion shares.

Apple (AAPL) shares have plunged 19% over the last three trading sessions, marking its worst three-day performance since 2001. During this period, the iPhone maker has lost around $638 billion in market capitalization. This is a larger value than the market capitalization of 489 companies in the S&P 500. Shares added 1.3% Tuesday before the bell.

U.S. futures are lower, European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended lower.
