The VIX closed Friday at 12.77 (-5.69%) and the 10 YR at 4.151 (-0.72%). The VIX is currently at 13.39 (+4.86%). The 10YR is at 4.1.80 (+0.70%).
This week we some new data starting with October wholesale inventories at 10 a.m. ET.
The November consumer price index, due out Wednesday, is expected to show a slight uptick in pricing pressures. Economists expect a 0.3% and 2.7% monthly and yearly increase, respectively. That would be up from 0.2% and 2.6%, respectively, from the prior month.
Nvidia (NVDA) shares slid 2% after China said a regulatory body launched an investigation into chipmaker over antimonopoly concerns.
U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.
The national average price of gasoline is down six-tenths of a cent at $3.026 per gallon.
