The VIX closed Tuesday at 14.10 (-3.42%) and the 10 YR at 4.305 (+0.05%). The VIX is currently at 13.97 (-0.92%). The 10YR is at 4.254 (-1.14%).

The personal consumption expenditures price index (PCE) is set for release at 10 a.m. ET. Economists expect a year-over-year increase of 2.8% for the core reading, which excludes food and energy.

Other key data out on Wednesday include personal income and consumer spending for October. That’s also scheduled to be released at 10 a.m. ET.

Initial U.S. jobless claims fell by 2,000 to 213,000 for the week ended Nov. 23, a sign that the U.S. labor market remains tight. Economists expected claims to come in at 215,000. Continuing jobless claims for the week ended Nov. 16 increased by 9,000 to 1.907 million, the Labor Department said.

U.S. futures are mixed, European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up six-tenths of a cent at $3.073 per gallon.
