The VIX closed Friday at 15.24 (-1.69%) and the 10 YR at 4.332 (-1.72%). The VIX is currently at 14.73 (-3.35%). The 10YR is at 4.293 (-2.61%).

This week we get the release of October’s personal consumption expenditure price index, the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation measure, on Wednesday. Minutes from the Fed’s most recent policy meeting are also due out ahead of Thanksgiving.

U.S. markets are closed Thursday due to the Thanksgiving holiday and close early on Friday, so trading volume is likely to be light this week.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is unchanged at $3.056 per gallon.
