The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Disney (DIS) 92.50 (-2.81%), Merck (MRK) 100.18 (-1.23%) and Travelers (TRV) 176.84 (-0.99%).

The VIX closed Tuesday at 12.69 (0.00%) and the 10 YR at 4.283 (-1.13%). The VIX is currently at 12.61 (-0.63%). The 10YR is at 4.299 (-0.037%).

Gross domestic product grew at an even stronger than expected pace in the third quarter, the Commerce Department announced Wednesday. GDP, a measure of all goods and services produced during the July-through-September period, accelerated at 5.2% annualized pace, better than the 5% Dow Jones forecast and above the initial estimate of 4.9%. This was the second of three readings on the key economic number. The upgrade came mostly from revisions to nonresidential fixed investment and government spending, while consumer expenditures were revised lower.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is unchanged at $3.246 per gallon.
