The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Walgreens (WBA) 29.80 (-2.71%), Cisco (CSCO) 52.09 (-1.72%) and Travelers (TRV) 173.26 (-0.92%).

The VIX closed Friday at 13.33 (-7.49%) and the 10 YR at 3.960 (+0.25%). The VIX is currently at 13.88 (-+4.13%). The 10YR is at 3.953 (+0.08%).

This week we get earnings from Caterpillar (CAT), Merck (MRK), Amgen (AMGN) and Apple (AAPL). And on Friday we get the Jobs Report.

The Dow has jumped 3.1% in July, and a posted a 13-day advance that matched the index’s longest streak of gains going back to 1987 last week.

Goldman Sachs upgraded oil giant Chevron (CVX) on Monday as the company approaches positive free-cash-flow.

Morgan Stanley is taking a pause on share of Salesforce (CRM), downgrading the software company to equal weight. The analyst upped his price target to $278 from $251 a share, reflecting 23% upside from Friday’s close. Shares have rallied more than 70% so far this year but has pulled back 1.5% in the premarket.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up five-tenths of a cent at $3.757 per gallon.
