The VIX closed Friday at 13.60 (-2.79%) and the 10 YR at 3.839 (-0.34%). The VIX is currently at 14.22 (+4.56%). The 10YR is at 3.805 (-0.78%).

The Dow Jones Industrial Average barely rose Friday and notched a 10-day win streak, its longest since 2017. The Federal Reserve will play a major role in whether the streak continues. The central bank is expected to hike interest rates Wednesday after a one-meeting pause in its push to rein in stubborn price increases. The personal consumption expenditures index, the Fed’s favorite inflation gauge, is also due Friday.

This week we get earnings from Microsoft (MSFT), Coca Cola (KO), Boeing (BA), Honeywell (HON), Intel (INTC), McDonald’s (MCD) and Procter & Gamble (PG).

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up two-tenths of a cent at $3.596 per gallon.
