The Dow stock losers Thursday were Nike (NKE) 112.41 (-0.40%) and American Express (AXP) 173.81 (-0.38%).

The VIX closed Thursday at 14.50 (+4.47%) and the 10 YR at 3.713 (-2.11%). The VIX is currently at 14.44 (-0.41%). The 10YR is at 3.756 (+0.94%).

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.6% for the week, its third positive week in a row.

The Federal Reserve delivered what investors wanted this week when the central bank left rates unchanged Wednesday after 10 consecutive hikes. While the Fed signaled that two more rate increases were coming this year, many traders and economists on Wall Street believe the Fed could be nearly done. Earlier in the week, the May consumer price index came in at the lowest in two years.

At 7:00 am PST this morning we get consumer sentiment data.

Today is quadruple witching and we have a long weekend with the Juneteenth holiday Monday.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down six-tenths of a cent at $3.583 per gallon.
