The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Boeing (BA) 133.51 (+5.92%), Salesforce (CRM) 155.73 (+5.29%), Goldman Sachs (GS) 314.87 (+5.25%), Caterpillar (CAT) 179.63 (+4.91%), JPMorgan (JPM) 112.77 (+4.68%) and Disney (DIS) 101.44 (+4.44%).

The Dow stock losers Monday were not to be found.

The 10 YR yield closed Tuesday at 3.630% and the VIX at 29.07 (-3.42%). The 10 YR is currently at 3.718 and VIX is at 29.65 (+2.00%).

Companies start reporting third quarter earnings in earnest next week.

Businesses added 208,000 for the month, better than the 200,000 Dow Jones estimate and ahead of the upwardly revised 185,000 in August, according to ADP.

Crude oil futures were little changed Wednesday after strong gains in the prior two sessions on expectations of an OPEC+ production quota cut. OPEC+, which includes OPEC and allies such as Russia, are meeting this morning to discuss the size of a likely cut. There were reports that OPEC+ could cut output quotas by roughly 1.8 million barrels per day.

U.S. futures are lower, European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up 2.6 cents at $3.831 per gallon.
