Will today be a rally day? Investors are looking for a path forward after Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s remarks last Friday, in which he said the central bank would continue its aggressive rate hikes to put a lid on four-decade-high inflation. Fresh economic data is on the docket for Tuesday, including the Conference Board’s latest consumer confidence survey.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down six-tenths of a cent at $3.844 per gallon.
