The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Merck (MRK) 81.61 (-9.86%), Home Depot (HD) 368.40 (-1.02%) and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) 163.43 (-0.71%).

The House late Friday passed an over $1 trillion infrastructure bill, sending the legislation to President Joe Biden for his signature.

A federal appeals court Saturday temporarily blocked the upcoming Covid vaccine and testing requirement for private businesses mandate. The White House has until Monday evening to respond.

The U.S. lifted restrictions Monday on travel from a long list of countries including Mexico, Canada and most of Europe. Travelers must show proof of vaccination and a negative Covid test. The rules allow tourists to make long-delayed trips and family members to reconnect with loved ones after more than a year and a half apart due to the pandemic.

U.S. futures are higher, European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up one-tenth of a cent at $3.422 per gallon.
