DJIA Market Happenings For Tuesday, June 1, 2021

Dow stocks hitting 52 week highs include Coca Cola (KO). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +150 points.

Friday the Dow was up +64.81 (+0.19%) at 34,529.45.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +12.82%.

There were 16 Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were led by Salesforce (CRM) 238.10 (+5.43%), Amgen (AMGN) 237.94 (+1.12%) and Chevron (CVX) 103.79 (+0.76%).

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Boeing (BA) 247.02 (-1.47%), Intel (INTC) 57.12 (-1.06%) and Walgreens (WBA) 52.66 (-0.72%).

President Joe Biden on Tuesday will unveil new measures his administration plans to take to narrow the racial wealth gap. During a trip to Oklahoma to commemorate 100 years since the Tulsa race massacre, Biden will announce an increase in the share of federal contracts for small, disadvantaged businesses, the reversal of two Trump-era housing rules and an initiative to address inequality in home appraisals.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $3.045 per gallon.
