The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -75 points.

Monday the Dow was up +373.98 (+1.13%) at 33,527.19.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +9.54%.

There were 25 Dow stocks up Monday.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Walgreens (WBA) 56.80 (+3.74%), Intel (INTC) 66.54 (+3.08%) and Walmart (WMT) 139.43 (+2.81%).

The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Goldman Sachs (GS) 323.54 (-1.25%), Chevron (CVX) 104.51 (-1.17%) and Disney (DIS) 188.50 (-0.25%).

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 surged to closing record highs yesterday. Today futures are down a bit before the open.

White House chief medical advisor Dr. Fauci warned on Monday that Americans should continue to be vigilant and adhere to public health measures as warmer summer months approach.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $2.872 per gallon.
