The Dow Market Happenings For Friday, March 26, 2021

Dow stocks hitting 52 week highs include Cisco (CSCO), Home Depot (HD) and 3M (MMM). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +135 points.

Thursday the Dow was up +199.42 (+0.62%) at 32,619.48.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +6.58%.

There were 23 Dow stocks up Thursday.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Boeing (BA) 247.19 (+3.32%), American Express (AXP) 142.28 (+2.79%) and Travelers (TRV) 152.78 (+2.34%).

The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by Nike (NKE) 128.64 (-3.39%), Salesforce (CRM) 205.44 (-1.95%) and Microsoft (MSFT) 232.34 (-1.33%).

The 10-year Treasury yield is up today but still below recent 14-month highs.

The Commerce Department this morning reported that personal income in February dropped 7.1%, roughly matching expectations. Personal savings last month dropped 1%, also basically in line with estimates.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down four-tenths of a cent at $2.866 per gallon.

Earnings Reports

Nike (NKE) reported earnings on 3/18/2021 after the market close of $0.90, beating estimates of $0.752 per share.

Walgreens (WBA) reports earnings on 3/31/2021 before the market open.
