Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +28 points.
Thursday the Dow was up +188.57 (+0.58%) at 32,485.59.
Year-to-date the Dow is up +6.14%.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Boeing (BA) 252.00 (+2.71%), Nike (NKE) 141.19 (+2.62%) and Microsoft (MSFT) 237.13 (+2.03%).
The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by Verizon (VZ) 55.51 (-2.75%), Coca Cola (KO) 50.88 (-1.09%) and McDonald’s (MCD) 211.57 (-0.82%).
As bond yields ticked back up Friday, tech stocks resumed their recent slide. The 10-year Treasury yield, which moves inversely to price, rose to around 1.6% on Friday, back toward recent one-year highs. The 10-year yield reached as high as 1.62% earlier this month before retreating.
President Joe Biden is directing states to make all adults eligible for the coronavirus vaccines by May 1. In his first prime-time address, he also said Thursday that Americans should hopefully be able to gather in small groups to celebrate the Fourth of July. Biden’s speech came exactly one year after the pandemic was declared and a year after ex-President Donald Trump’s address announcing temporary travel suspensions to the U.S. from Europe. At the time, Trump downplayed the coronavirus. In contrast, Biden on Thursday night stressed that Covid still presents a serious danger. He spoke hours after signing into law the recently passed $1.9 trillion Covid relief bill.
The Producer Price Index for final demand increased 0.5 percent in February, as prices for final demand goods rose 1.4 percent, and the index for final demand services advanced 0.1 percent. The final demand index moved up 2.8 percent for the 12 months ended in February.
European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.
The national average price of gasoline is up 1.2 cents at $2.838 per gallon.
